How to Add a Miscellaneous Issue

How to Add a Miscellaneous Issue

The “Miscellaneous” module can be used to store information that doesn’t fit within the other modules, e.g. it’s not a hazard, incident, employment issue, etc. It could be used to note down an improvement idea, something that’s come up in a health and safety meeting, etc.

Adding a Miscellaneous Issue

Click on “Tools” on the main navigation, and then click “Miscellaneous” from the dropdown navigation.

You will then see a search system of all active miscellaneous issues already in the Hasmate program.

Click the green “Add” button on the right hand side.

Miscellaneous Details Section

This section is made up of the following fields:

  • Description – this is where you can describe the issue in detail.
  • Date – when did this occur or was brought to your attention?
  • Miscellaneous Type – this is a Master File, and this allows you to categorise the miscellaneous issue. For more information on updating the Master File, click here.
  • Employee – this will show a dropdown of all employees – you can only choose one.  This allows you to connect an employee to the issue – whether it was something that they suggested, or something they were involved in.  This will show on their employee profile.
  • Business Levels 1/2/3 – this allows you to connect the issue to a part of your business.  This is a compulsory field.
  • Contractor – this will show a dropdown of all contractors. This allows you to connect a contractor to the issue – whether it was something that they suggested, or something they were involved in.  This will show on their contractor profile.
  • Location Type – this is a Master File, and should have wider location options – e.g. indoor or outdoor.  For more information on updating the Master File, click here.
  • Location – this is a Master File, and should be more specific for location – e.g. factory, loading dock, carpark, etc. For more information on updating the Master File, click here.
  • Folder Path/File Path/Image Folder Path – ignore these fields – these are legacy fields from an older version of Hasmate, and will be removed in the future.

When you click “Save“, other available sections will be visible.
