How to add a new Master File

The Hasmate program comes with some Master Files set up by default (see these here) – but always make sure the Master Files are suited to your business.  E.g. add all the job titles that are applicable for your business, adding in contractor or supplier categories that suit your business, etc.

How to add a new Master File

To do this, please click on “Master Files” on the navigation, then click the Master File that you want to update.  E.g. “Employee”, and then “Job Title.

You will then see all the current Master Files set up for that option.  E.g. all the job titles already set up.

Click the green “Add” button on the right hand side.

Type what you want the new type to be called into the box – e.g. Health and Safety Manager.  Make sure “Active” is set to “Yes“.

Click the “Save” button.  You’ve now added a new Master File option.

If you have further questions or require training, please contact Hasmate.
