How to make a business level inactive

How to make a business level inactive

When you set up Business Levels initially in Control, you need to give them names, e.g. Business Level 1 (the largest way your business divides up) could be Branch, Business Level 2 could be Department, and you might not be using Business Level 3.

For information on setting up Business Levels, please click here.

For this instance, Business Level 1 will be Branch (with the branches being Napier, Hastings, Auckland, Wellington), and Business Level 2 will be Department (with the departments being Office, Workshop, Sales).

How to make a Branch inactive (Business Level 1)

For our example, the Napier branch has closed, so we want to make it inactive in the Hasmate program.

To do this, please click on “Master Files” in the program menu, then “Business Levels”, and then “Branch“.

Find the branch that you need to make inactive.  Double click on the branch name or click the “Open” button to the right of the branch name (e.g. Napier).

Click the “Edit” button on the right-hand side.

Change the drop-down beside Active to “No“.

Click the “Save” button.

How to make a Department inactive (Business Level 2)

For our example, all the branches have ceased selling products, so we want to make it inactive in the Hasmate program.

To do this, please click on “Master Files” in the program menu, then “Business Levels”, and then “Department“.

Find the department that you need to make inactive.  Double click on the department name or click the “Open” button to the right of the department name (e.g. Sales).

Click the “Edit” button on the right-hand side.

Change the drop-down beside Active to “No“.

Click the “Save” button.
